Shorty’s is back—led by Devun Walsh—with a modern True Twin board that blends skate-inspired style, power, and precision.
Founded in 1992 in Santa Barbara, California, Shorty's made its mark in skateboarding before venturing into snowboarding in the mid-90s. With a legendary team featuring Devun Walsh, Chris Brown, Kevin Young, and Dionne Delesalle, Shorty's snowboards left a lasting impact on the industry, even though the line was short-lived. Now, 30 years since its original launch, Shorty's Snowboards is making a comeback, with Devun Walsh leading the charge to reignite its legacy.
This relaunch introduces a fresh take on a skateboard-inspired snowboard shape, blending the feel of skateboarding with the power and performance needed on the mountain. Featuring a True Twin shape for perfect balance, a medium-stiff flex (7/10) for power and control, and a traditional camber for unmatched edge hold and pop, this board is built for freestyle, all-mountain, and freeride terrain. Three decades later, Shorty's continues to push boundaries while staying true to its roots in both skateboarding and snowboarding.
Featuring a Traditional Camber profile, this board delivers the classic camber feel — strong edge hold, explosive pop, and dependable stability at speed. It’s responsive yet smooth, giving you complete confidence whether you’re charging groomers, hitting side hits, or floating through freeride terrain.
Inside, two carbon beams run nose to tail, adding longitudinal strength and snap without sacrificing flex. This reinforcement amplifies pop, boosts edge-to-edge response, and keeps the board feeling lively season after season.
The Negative Core Profile removes a small amount of wood between the bindings, balancing the flex from tip to tail for a more playful, forgiving ride. This design enhances foot control and board feel, making every turn and press feel natural and fluid.
The Shorty’s Snowboard is built around a full-length poplar wood core, chosen for its perfect balance of strength, flex, and lightweight performance. Poplar delivers a smooth, consistent ride with lively response and natural damping underfoot. Its full-length construction ensures durability and energy transfer from tip to tail, giving riders reliable snap, pop, and stability on every turn.
Featuring an ISOSport 7500 Sintered Base, this board is built for pure speed and durability. The sintered structure absorbs and retains wax better than extruded bases, keeping you faster across all snow conditions. It’s tough, resilient, and designed to glide effortlessly whether you’re bombing steep lines or cruising mellow laps with friends.
The board’s Biaxial Fiberglass Construction delivers a smooth, playful flex that makes every turn feel natural and fun. By layering the fibers at 0° and 90°, we’ve created a torsionally forgiving board that’s easy to control while still offering the snap and energy you need when it’s time to push harder. The result is a balanced ride — stable when you want it, buttery when you need it.
Together, these premium materials give the Shorty’s Snowboard its signature feel: fast, fun, and built to last season after season.
